BlueHalo is growing, and we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team at BlueHalo. The successful Senior Accountant will play a critical role in managing and optimizing accounting processes, ensuring compliance with industry standards, and supporting the Controller in achieving financial goals.
Primary Responsibilities Include:
- Revenue Management: Support the Controller in managing the revenue recognition process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and company policies.
- Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed financial and account analyses to identify trends, variances and opportunities.
- Reporting: Assist Controller in reporting project, financial, and other requested information to both internal and external customers.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, operations, and legal, to ensure seamless operations.
- Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in the Controller’s organization.
- Compliance: Ensure all the division activities comply with relevant regulations and standards, including SOX and DCAA compliance.
- Support: Assist the Business Controller in various projects and initiatives aimed at optimizing closing performance and strengthening the accuracy of the financials.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting management or technical accounting, preferably within the aerospace and defense industry.
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and tools.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with various departments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a US Security Clearance.
- CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Experience with Deltek Costpoint ERP system preferred.

Salary Range: $80k - $110k
