Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting the SVP, GM – Dental, this role is responsible for strategy development and execution for the Health & Wellness Dental industry partnerships, market expansion, and for the relationships and volume within the Dental independent practices . This individual will develop annual plans for strategic pillars, growth objectives, and overall P&L management for their book of business. They will provide strategic oversight for current product offerings & expansion to their direct team, cross-functional teams and external Dental industry stakeholders. Market expansion focuses will be in orthodontics and insurance and may evolve as strategic opportunities present themselves.

Essential Responsibilities:
Develop and manage strategic action plans (i.e., growth pillars, P&L management) to achieve performance targets.
Navigate portfolio dynamics to develop, support and implement key business strategies.
Own and drive portfolio financial performance as well as key growth metrics for the Independent practices within Dental. In this function the incumbent will partner closely with the H&W field sales leadership & marketing teams.
Own and drive new product, features and capabilities for the client, and position Synchrony’s innovative brand.
Develop and support all existing client initiatives inclusive of product, regulatory and industry changes.
Pilot the expansion of new products such as Allegro and Pay Later with existing and prospective clients.
Identifies strategies through marketing, analytics, and other methods to drive growth goals in partnership with inside and field sales team.
Refine & implement processes of how we engage & partner with dental profession to ensure long-term growth (i.e., products, integrations, education, expansion).
Accountable for the delivery of key metrics for the portfolio.
Sets standards to ensure adherence with all external and internal Compliance and Regulatory requirements.
Deliver weekly and monthly portfolio and corporate reporting to executive leadership team and external stakeholders.
Lead & provide oversight in negotiations and represent SYFs interests with partners, associations, and universities.
Work closely with the Provider Experience & Operations teams to develop/implement training initiatives as needed.
Develop and maintain excellent working relationship with client groups and all key stakeholders.
Support business-wide initiatives as needed.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or 12 years of equivalent work experience in the Healthcare/Financial Services field
Minimum of 8 years of leadership experience in financial services or within industry
Demonstrated success leading a team with proven track record of delivering results
Minimum of 5 years of experience in delivering formal communications to senior business leaders and key external partners
Strong overall knowledge of card business including risk, collections, operations, marketing and finance
Superior Financial Acumen
Must be willing to travel up to 50% of the time
Skilled communicator who influences and negotiates with great latitude on outcomes
Desired Characteristics:
2+ years negotiation and contract management experience
Deep understanding of SYF products, services and capabilities
2+ years experience leading sales for fragmented markets
2+ years leading market expansion initiatives
CareCredit experience along with experience in other Synchrony commercial platforms.
Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
Ability to effectively interface and represent Synchrony at the most senior levels in the client organization
MBA or equivalent advanced degree
eCommerce, and Payment Industry experience
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team
Grade/Level: 15
The salary range for this position is 200,000.00 - 330,000.00 USD Annual. This position is also eligible for an Annual Incentive Plan target of 25% of salary and an Annual Equity target of 25% of salary.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
