Quantum Science and Technology Consultant
Key Role:
Support the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) with creating, managing, and transitioning cutting-edge research and technology developments utilizing deep expertise in quantum science and technology as a technical consultant. Work with DARPA research program managers to assess the technical feasibility of emerging research and identify areas where strategic investment could have transformative impact to defense technologies. Produce and present findings and recommendations to a team of colleagues and clients, assist with technical program management and program development, and brief materials out for government Research and Development (R&D) efforts. Work with world-class scientists in driving forward groundbreaking research efforts that aim to leverage quantum computers and simulators to model complex systems and solve DoD problems. Maintain and leverage technical expertise and relationships in serving clients.
Basic Qualifications:
5+ years of experience with theoretical or experimental quantum science research, quantum simulation, quantum many-body physics, or quantum computing
3+ years of experience with authoring technical papers, reports, or program plans for technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to commute to Arlington, VA
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelors degree
Additional Qualifications:
Experience with developing systems in a collaborative team environment
Experience with defense research and development
Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills
Possession of excellent organization and client service skills
Top Secret clearance
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $67,700.00 to $154,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
