Job Description:

Project Engineer – Transportation Infrastructure  - Pasadena, California
 

 Our Parsons Pasadena, California office in the Los Angeles area  is now hiring for a highly experienced  Project Engineer to join our Transportation Infrastructure team ! In this role you will perform a wide variety of engineering tasks for road and highway projects from feasibility studies, preliminary engineering, and final design to report writing and development of construction contract documents. This role will support projects in Southern California and other state regions as well, when needed. This position offers hybrid remote working ( meaning  ability to work from home, 2-3 days per week)

What You'll Be Doing :

  • Perform a variety of roadway engineering tasks such as geometric design, engineering analyses, and project plan development.
  • High level experience with Microstation and Autocad as well
  • Prepare engineering design plans, engineering computations, technical reports, specifications, quantity takeoffs, and cost estimates.
  • Assist the project manager in executing and delivering project assignments.
  • Coordinate and communicate with internal team and external clients/agencies.
  • May plan, lead, and supervise lower level engineers on same assignments. 
  • Participate or project meetings as well as participate in site visits and field inspection as required.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Minimum 10 years or more of experience in roadway related fields.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required.  If PE is from another state, expectation to obtain a PE license in the State of California within 1 year of hire
  • Caltrans projects experience and knowledge of Caltrans standards, policies, and manuals is essential or highly preferred
  • Proficient in MicroStation and/or AutoCAD/Civil 3D.
  • Strong written and oral communications skills.
  • Ability to apply advanced engineering techniques and practices as well as solve complex engineering problems.

Salary Range: 

$96,400.00 - $168,700.00
