Software Engineer

Our client is seeking a dedicated Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role is not tied to a specific project but is designed to supplement the team's workload across a variety of projects. These projects range from new development to migration of existing applications to the cloud. Some applications will require code maintenance, while others will need to be rewritten. This is a hands-on development role that offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to diverse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop high-quality code that minimally disrupts the production environment and meets project deadlines
• Document and contribute to solution designs in a team setting, seeking feedback during design sessions
• Communicate regularly on the progress of work products and deliverables to management and other team members
• Participate in peer review sessions and lead by example on how to critique technical deliverables
• Document technology standards and best practices, ensuring adherence to these standards
• Conduct analysis of application and database performance, review log files, troubleshoot, and monitor applications in partnership with the application support team
• Assist with implementing reliable automated test cases to ensure application quality and stability in partnership with Quality Engineers
• Assist with the responsibilities of other team members as business needs change
  
  
  

Required Professional Experience and Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in software design and web development
• Proficiency in Java development, including Spring if possible
• Experience with AWS development, including serverless technologies such as S3, Lambdas, etc.
• Database development experience, including relational and non-relational
• Agile/SAFe experience
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
• Adaptability to changes in priority and critical thinking skills
  
  
  

Education:

• BS in Computer Science or related technical discipline (or equivalent)
