Job Overview

We are on the lookout for a dedicated Scrum Master with a strong background in managing data science projects to join our dynamic team. This pivotal role will empower you to leverage Agile methodologies and your expertise in data science to guide our cross-functional teams toward successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate daily stand-up meetings, ensure effective communication within the team, and lead Sprint planning sessions.
• Identify and address challenges that arise during sprints, ensuring timely completion of project objectives, particularly within the context of data science.
• Offer Agile coaching and training to both team members and stakeholders to enhance their understanding of Agile practices tailored to data science.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to craft and prioritize user stories, focusing on data science initiatives.
• Develop and execute metrics and reporting systems that track the efficiency and progress of sprints and related projects, with an emphasis on data-driven metrics.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of requirements, including business process diagrams and functional specifications, particularly for data science-related tasks.
• Act as a liaison to bridge communication gaps among diverse product owner perspectives, ensuring alignment on project priorities.
• Utilize negotiation and conflict resolution skills to cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  
  

Required Skills

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, IT, Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Certification as a Scrum Master (CSM) and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) Certification.
• A minimum of 5 years' experience within an Enterprise IT environment, particularly in leading data science projects.
• Proficiency with requirements tracking tools such as JIRA.
• Familiarity with the software lifecycle, implementation tools, and methodologies, including GitHub, Oracle, AWS, and Java.
• Proven capability in leading daily scrums, PI planning, and Sprint reviews in the context of data science projects.
• Strong communication and documentation skills, alongside the ability to identify and mitigate sprint impediments.

• US Citizenship is mandatory.
• Active or prior security clearance at the Public Trust level or above, valid within the last two years.
