Job Overview

We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for an accomplished Outside Sales Consultant to join our dynamic team. This remote position is ideal for individuals with a strong passion for fostering relationships and driving sales across the residential, custom, and commercial sectors. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your consultative sales skills to effectively collaborate with builders and end-user customers, enhancing profitable sales while identifying new business avenues. Your extensive experience will be key in cultivating and sustaining both new and existing partnerships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and onboard new builder accounts.
  • Collaborate with the builder development team to ensure seamless account setups.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for home builder partners, maintaining robust relationships.
  • Promote and sell security, home automation, and monitoring solutions.
  • Generate new customer leads through provided resources and personal prospecting.
  • Conduct local travel within your designated territory to represent the company and achieve sales objectives.
  • Prepare and present professional sales presentations to prospective clients.
  • Draft contracts for customer orders, ensuring an efficient ordering process.
  • Address customer inquiries and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed on product knowledge, including features, specifications, and market trends.
  • Accept additional responsibilities as required.

Required Skills

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in outside sales and customer relations.
  • At least 2 years of B2B sales experience.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to thrive under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive demeanor while delivering exemplary customer service.
  • Self-motivated with a strong goal-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screens.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; an associate degree is preferred.
  • Experience within the home builder sector is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with low voltage and alarm security sales is a plus.
  • Strong skills in prospecting, negotiation, persuasion, and closing.
  • High level of initiative and self-motivation.
