We are thrilled to invite a Software Architect to join our Architecture team! This remote position is ideally suited for candidates located within the US, particularly in the CT or ET time zones. You will be instrumental in leading vital software engineering initiatives across our product development organization and in shaping our technical architecture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define the technical parameters of cross-team software projects based on business needs.
  • Collaborate with development teams to architect robust and high-performance solutions that satisfy both the company and customer requirements.
  • Evaluate the performance of existing systems and devise strategies for enhancement.
  • Document design decisions via Architecture Decision Records.
  • Assess the execution of technical plans to ensure adherence to design specifications.
  • Formulate deployment and migration strategies while refining existing processes.
  • Partner with engineering teams to ensure prompt and efficient production releases.
  • Collaborate with the Product Management team to prioritize, schedule, and deliver new enhancements.
  • Work alongside the Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team to diagnose production issues and improve the observability of current products.
  • Oversee project implementation and coordinate efforts across diverse teams.

Required Skills

  • In-depth understanding of modern web development technologies, including one or more of the following: Java with Spring (preferred), JavaScript/TypeScript, or Python.
  • Experience in assessing and optimizing the performance of distributed systems.
  • Strong grasp of web services and SaaS applications.
  • Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider, preferably Amazon Web Services.
  • Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL preferred).
  • Awareness of various database technologies (e.g., ClickHouse, Neo4J, Redis, Elasticsearch).
  • Proficiency in contemporary DevOps tools (Terraform, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, ELK stack).
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Capability to work autonomously and manage your own workload.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.
