Position Title: Social Media and Content Manager, Temporary Contract

Job Overview:

We are seeking an energetic, strategic and detail-oriented social media manager to join our Brand Marketing team as a temporary contractor, reporting directly to the VP of Brand Marketing. The Social Media Manager role at Owlet plays a critical role on the Brand Marketing team in shaping how we communicate with new and existing customers on a daily basis. This position sets, implements and executes the strategy for Owlet’s social media presence. Key areas of responsibilities include: Social marketing strategy, content ideation and creation, social calendar building, publishing, community management and campaign planning to drive brand love, awareness, engagement to drive the Owlet business.

This is a temporary contract position, paid on an hourly basis, with an estimated duration of 6 months.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Set strategy and plan for Owlet’s presence across social platforms with a focus on brand love, engagement and business goals
  • Bring a fresh perspective to Owlet’s social content- help us reach and build relationships with the newest generation of parents (TikTok is key here).
  • Help Owlet win on TikTok- ideate on platform specific videos
  • Build monthly and campaign social content calendars with a focus on Instagram and TikTok
  • Publish social content across Owlet’s social platforms
  • Monitor social trends across platforms- prioritizing TikTok to pitch new content ideas to drive business objectives and brand engagement
  • Maintain and grow Owlet as a relevant brand on social media for new audiences (through content, emerging platforms, etc.)
  • Build Owlet’s audience, word of mouth and engagement levels through on-brand, real-time community management
  • Leverage social reporting tools to share regular reporting on key performance metrics
  • Develop content to drive engagement and brand awareness, while aligning to the needs of the business
  • Pitch and execute innovative content ideas for the brand holistically as well as campaigns and product launches
  • Collaborate with team and provide support on brand content across blogs, emails, social and influencers
  • Oversee content creator(s) or team to drive brand strategy and on-trend content

Qualifications:

  • 2-5 years of experience in social marketing with an emphasis on TikTok and Instagram
  • Bachelor’s degree in communication, marketing, or related field
  • Deep knowledge of social platforms and current social and influencer trends
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Start-up mindset and mission-driven attitude- ability to find unique ways to get it done
  • Experience in affiliate and influencer marketing is a plus!
