Data Warehouse Developer

Overview: We are seeking a motivated and skilled Data Warehouse Developer I to join the Data Warehouse and Decision Support team. This position will focus on the creation and maintenance of Power BI reports and SQL query development to support state and federal data reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain Power BI reports for internal and external stakeholders.

Modify existing Power BI reports, including SQL queries and DAX visualizations.

Fulfill ad-hoc data requests from internal and external clients.

Conduct peer testing of ETL tables, data views, Power BI reports, SQL queries, and test scripts.

Gather and analyze end-user requirements for new or existing reports.

Create functional and technical specifications to load data from disparate source systems into Power BI.

Utilize Microsoft SQL Server 2019+ and Oracle databases in development processes.

Collaborate in Agile/Scrum sprint planning and retrospective sessions.

Create operational processes, including test cases and user documentation.

Manage project documentation and source code using TFS (Visual Studio/Azure DevOps) and SharePoint.

Create Change Management tickets as required.

Stay updated on new technologies and tools that enhance team productivity.

Perform other duties related to the data warehouse project as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

Proficient in SQL.

Experience in creating Power BI reports (data modeling, data visualization, DAX).

Some experience in data preparation and/or data warehousing projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience within the K-12 education data sector.

Familiarity with Microsoft SSIS or similar BI stack tools (SSRS, SSAS).

Basic scripting and programming knowledge.

Experience or familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
