Job Overview

Join VIQ Solutions, a leading provider of transcription services, as we support the legal and judicial sectors in their transition to advanced technology-driven workflows. We are in search of skilled Legal/Judicial contract professionals with substantial experience in transcribing depositions and hearings. This role offers a fully remote work environment for Independent Contractors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately transcribe depositions, hearings, and various judicial proceedings.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail while processing audio recordings.
  • Adhere strictly to client-specific style guides to produce verbatim transcripts.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription.
  • Exceptional listening skills with a keen eye for accuracy.
  • Strong literacy skills, including proficiency in spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote collaborative environment.
  • Typing proficiency with both speed and accuracy.
  • Capacity to handle challenging audio/text content.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is essential.
  • Successful completion of a background check is required.
  • Court reporting students are welcome to apply.
