What You Will Do:
The Client Relationship Executive for Federal Civilian Agencies (FCA) is a Business Development Director role responsible for business development strategy and sales execution to support the growth of the Federal Civilian Agency account portfolio. The ideal Client Relationship Executive (CRE) will possess a broad understanding of the Federal Government marketplace and is knowledgeable across a range of topics including business management consulting, outsourcing, process automation, change management, technology enablement, managed services, and digital solutions.
The CRE will seek to position value added services with clients and prospects and enhance the position of Guidehouse in the market. The CRE role demands an extremely well networked client relationship/business development professional with existing network contacts in the federal government agency buying ecosystem. That includes the buyers themselves (contracting officers, stakeholders, agency leaders) and subcontractors, partners, and competitors. Responsibilities include:
- Perform consultative selling of complex, transformational solutions that deliver outcome-based results
- Be a Trusted Advisor to Clients (adept at bringing creative solutions to senior level client relationships)
- Expand Guidehouse client positioning by bringing the entirety of our solution portfolio to our FCA clientele
- Prepare and deliver clear, insightful, and influential executive-level presentations and communications
- Be a seasoned business developer by identifying, initiating and closing new opportunities with existing clients and new clients.
- Understand client needs based upon knowledge of the FCA marketplace, changing operational needs in a new administration, and the evolving needs of state and local entities depending on federal dollars.
- Understand key supporting technologies and leading industry vendors
- Understand MSAs, IDIQs, umbrella contracts, and various contract vehicles in FCA.
- Participate in Account Teams and joint account planning
- Serve as a sales advisor to account team leadership on solution definition and account strategy
- Play a leading role in key developing and closing key pursuits in a portfolio of select, named accounts, likely Department of Commerce, USDA, and Department of Labor.
- Represent Guidehouse at industry events
- Participate in marketing strategy for FCA business
What You Will Need:
- Track record of bringing deep expertise and background gained in FCA to develop and implement growth strategies in our FCA target accounts
- 12+ yrs in FCA industry preferably the majority selling professional services within the FCA consulting industry
- Use executive presence and gravitas to work with Guidehouse senior executive leadership
- Be trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders and must demonstrate a high degree of thought leadership and sales affinity that results in net new sales
- Able to influence and collaborate with senior level agency officials, demonstrating expert teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Display deep sales acumen and have excellent communication skills
- Have a sustained strong presence and relationships within our peak accounts
- Deeply understand the major issues, planned procurements, budgets, and headwinds facing federal government civilian agencies today
- Ability to negotiate complex and strategic contracts on significant opportunities
- Able to travel per client and organizational demands
- Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred but also could have 4 plus yrs. of directly related experience
- The successful candidate must not be subject to employment restrictions from a former employer (such as a non-compete) that would prevent the candidate from performing the job responsibilities as describe

- Demonstrate you can work with other Executives across the enterprise to be able to think and adapt quickly, and pivot from being the key decision-maker to team member in a consensus-driven organization.
- Skilled at issue-based problem-solving, aligning consulting solutions to address client needs
- Strong network and understanding of the Department of Commerce, USDA, and Department of Labor.
The annual salary range for this position is $183,200.00-$274,800.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
