* This is an onsite role in Calgary, Alberta with 20% flexibility

Toast is recruiting on behalf of this company, a leader in modular building and workforce housing solutions, as well as business-to-business travel management. They are seeking a dynamic Manager, IT Business Relationships to join their Corporate IT Projects department. This position offers an opportunity to shape the alignment between IT and business strategies, ensuring that IT investments deliver maximum value while enabling business success.

In this role, you will serve as a critical liaison between IT and the business, fostering strong relationships with internal and external customers. You will lead change management efforts and ensure the smooth integration of people, processes, and technology. You’ll also drive business analysis, manage projects, and assist with developing governance strategies that align with corporate objectives. The role demands excellent communication skills and the ability to translate business needs into effective IT solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the primary liaison across functional areas, reducing barriers between IT and business.
  • Lead change management initiatives, focusing on preparing and reinforcing employee transitions during process changes.
  • Provide strategic vision and innovation to improve business processes, governance, and IT alignment.
  • Analyze, model, and measure business processes, providing recommendations for improvement.
  • Oversee continuous operational support for business process enhancements.
  • Manage data analytics within the organization’s process framework, supporting the company's success with actionable insights.
  • Lead and manage training programs for business users on IT systems and processes.
  • Deploy business applications and systems using structured project management methodologies, ensuring proper documentation and communication.
  • Actively participate in strategic and budgetary planning, providing recommendations and implementing revised programs as needed.
  • Escalate issues and identify opportunities in collaboration with the IT General Manager.


Requirements
  • 7+ years of experience in IT/business relationship management with strong interpersonal skills.
  • A degree or diploma in Computer Science or a related field is required.
  • PMP certification, Salesforce.com experience, and ERP implementation would be advantageous.
  • Prosci Change Management certification, with a preference for experience in the ADKAR Model.
  • Strong understanding of internal business processes and their improvement.
  • Proven change management skills, especially in using the ADKAR Model.
  • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills with a systematic approach.
  • Ability to interact effectively with technical teams, business leaders, and management at all levels.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience in presentations and written communication.
