Taconic Biosciences is seeking an Associate Director Sales for the Eastern US to join our dedicated Sales team in this remote position.

The Pay Range: $140,000 - $160,000. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors. These factors include geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions and could exceed the advertised salary range, however, please note that the upper end of the range is not guaranteed to be offered.

The Role:
The Associate Director Sales will implement the regional strategy focused on driving revenue achievement in the current year and beyond. The documented ability to manage a sales team is preferred. Focus on revenue, establishing strong relationships with clients and managing the internal team key performance indicators (KPIs) are critical. The ideal candidate is a collaborative leader with ability to work within a matrixed customer facing organization with demonstrated understanding of strategy development and deployment. Funnel management and accurate forecasting are essential. Ability to coach sales process including prospecting, objection handling, negotiating and closing skills are expected in this role.

Core Responsibilities:
  • Lead sales team to achieve revenue targets and quotas as outlined in the Annual Operating Plan (AOP)
  • Drive TEAM selling approach to support customer intimate solution development
  • Establish team metrics and measure to ensure accountability
  • Understand market trends, dynamics, and competitive activity
  • Establish the team culture in line with Taconic values
  • Coach and mentor sales team for employee retention and career path development
  • Leading, coaching, empowering, and managing a team of up to 10 employees
Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or technical/managerial experience at an equivalent level.
  • Account/territory management in a life science or specialized field with demonstrated success meeting established targets, managing customer relationships and the ability to innovate creative solutions.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience and/or training within sales.
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of an organization.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and coach sales process methodology.
  • Entry level leadership experience of small team preferred.
Travel:
Frequent travel is required, generally multiple trips each month.
