About The Role
As the Manager of the Leave and Disability Accommodations team, you will lead a dedicated group of specialists responsible for administering leave requests, disability accommodations, and coordinating with workers' compensation to deliver a seamless, integrated experience. You’ll play a vital role in implementing the strategic direction of the department, ensuring all processes are aligned with organizational goals and are supportive of an exceptional employee and client experience. Your expertise in leave management, including FMLA and state leaves, will be essential in guiding team development, operational excellence, and compliance.
What You'll Do:
- Lead and mentor a team of specialists in leave management, disability accommodations, and workers' compensation, ensuring a high-performance, service-oriented culture.
- Act as the subject matter expert for FMLA, state leaves, disability accommodations, and workers' compensation, handling escalated cases and guiding complex cross-functional interactions.
- Drive the strategic vision for an integrated Leave and Disability Accommodations department, aligning processes with organizational goals and supporting an exceptional employee and client experience.
- Oversee daily team activities to meet productivity and service standards, continuously identifying areas for process improvement to enhance overall service delivery.
- Manage complex cases requiring nuanced interpretation of eligibility and compliance for various leave types, including state-specific leaves and workers' compensation.
What You Bring:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in leave management, disability accommodations, or absence management (including FMLA, state leaves, and workers' compensation) with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Certifications (Preferred): Certified Leave Management Specialist (CLMS), SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of FMLA, ADA, state leave laws, and best practices for leave and disability management. Proficient in HRIS or absence management software.
- Proven success in team leadership, process improvement, compliance, and delivering exceptional service.

The salary range for this role is $85,000-$110,000. Actual compensation packages within that range are based on a wide array of factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth and years of experience, certifications, and specific location.
