Job description

Job Summary 

The Director of Finance will analyze past financial performance to predict future performance and to advise the company on its financial strategy. This role provides a great opportunity for someone looking for a high-profile position that will work directly with the senior leadership team and private equity owners to deliver insightful reporting on how the company is performing and opportunities for improvement.

Location:  Remote in the following states CA, CO, FL, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MO, NC, NE, NH, NV, OH, PA, TN, TX, UT  

Salary Range:  $140,000 to $170,000/year depending on location and experience

Responsibilities 

  • Prepare consolidated financial statements, business KPIs and various financial reports in a timely fashion
  • Prepare all proforma reporting for the private equity owners and lenders
  • Provides a monthly financial reporting package to senior leadership team
  • Develops the annual budget and prepares monthly updates to the annual forecast
  • Works cross functionally with revenue operations on sales forecasting and modeling used in budgets and forecasts
  • Assists the Controller in reviewing and documenting all technical accounting matters
  • Develop and report on product profitability
  • Assists in the accounting ERP migration as needed
  • Assists the Controller in the month end close process in preparing and reviewing
  • Conducts periodic audits of expense allocations
  • Oversees and takes responsibility for all financial procedures and records
  • Performs other related duties as requested by the Chief Financial Officer

Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Advanced degree or certification (CPA, CFA) preferred
  • 6+ years of professional experience as a financial analyst, accountant, auditor or CPA (Certified Public Accountant)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Thorough understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Working knowledge of Generally Accepted Auditing Standards.
  • Working knowledge of methods of systems analysis and the principles, design, and procedural methods used in big data analysis.
  • Thorough understanding of project management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Advanced MS Office suite knowledge especially Excel and relevant budgeting/forecasting tools
  • High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
