Job Summary:

Ridgeview Medical Center is partnering with Allina Health’s Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line to grow mental health services in the western metro and surrounding communities. This position will be physically located at Ridgeview Medical Center – Waconia, MN and employed by Allina Health. The role will be part of a team consisting of psychiatry, mental health professionals, and nursing supporting an outpatient mental health clinic along with an eight-chair adult partial hospitalization program.

Allina Health has a robust Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line that offers the full continuum of care including integration, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction, co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, and inpatient care.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Assessment:
    • Performs evaluation/assessment and diagnosis.
    • Creates team treatment plan and utilize various treatment modalities.
    • Performs evaluation/assessment and diagnosis.
    • Engages family when appropriate in the development of treatment plans.
    • Re-assess and recommend changes to treatment plan when necessary.
    • May consult with primary care providers for ongoing management of behavioral health needs of their patients.
    • Communicate/notify attending, supervising, or referring providers of assessment and recommendations.
    • Utilize various treatment modalities in the treatment plan.
  • Treatment:
    • Meet requirements of third-party payers.
    • Provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy as identified in the treatment plan.
    • Coordinate treatment with other providers and community agencies.
    • Complete treatment plan per department policy/procedure.
    • Reassess patient needs and progress per department policy/procedure.


Job Requirements

  • Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Psychology or Counseling required
  • 2 to 5 years of patient treatment in a clinical setting preferred
  • Licensed Psychologist - MN Board of Psychology required upon hire
  • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker - MN Board of Social Work required upon hire
  • BLS Tier 1 - Basic Life Support - Multisource required within 180 Days
  • Formal Training/Certification in a suicide prevention modality as applicable based on role within 90 Days required
