Overview:

LMI seeks Logistics Management Analyst to support a federal program management office in Ashburn, VA. Join our team of collaborative self-starters focused on delivering practical and efficient solutions to help our client keep U.S. borders safe and facilitate trade and travel. As part of our high-performing team, you will augment our vital work to provide “eyes and ears” technology to protect our nation. Specifically, this position will support the Advanced Deliverable Voice Operational Networking (ADVON) effort within the Command, Control, and Communications (C3) Portfolio. The Tactical Communications Devices (TCD) project within ADVON provides acquisition and enterprise-wide lifecycle management, logistics services, and coordination of CBP’s communications devices. This is a hybrid work scenario, offering a combination of onsite client work in Ashburn, VA/telework.

Responsibilities:

You will support one of our client’s programs by providing logistics and inventory management duties.  Other duties include management analysis and planning; cost, schedule, risk, records; and deliverable development and oversight.  You will compile management information from the project including scope, cost, schedule, performance, and quality to provide visibility into deployment progress. Representative responsibilities include:

  • Support data calls to the component projects for information needed
  • Provide support related to logistics and inventory management 
  • Manage and report on cost, schedule, quality, and performance goals
  • Coordinate project status reviews
  • Develop and monitor status of deliverables
  • Manage the action item database to resolution, and monitor risk management activities
  • Work with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and Working Groups to develop and maintain program and project plans and charters
  • Support data calls to the component projects for information needed
  • Respond to data calls with project information
  • Support development, execution, and management of Service Level Agreements (SLAs), Memorandum of Agreement/Understanding (MOA/MOU), and Inter-Agency Agreements (IAAs)
  • Develop responses to internal and external inquiries
  • Define and maintain the overall program master plan
  • Track milestones and deliverables
  • Manage processes, records, and information
  • Implement reporting framework and standards
  • Coordinate and maintain integrated master schedule, coordinate critical path issues, and escalate schedule impacts
  • Monitor expenditures against budget
  • Assist Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) to review vendor invoices and deliverables
  • Manage vendor review process and record vendor deliverables
  • Working with assigned risk personnel, develop and maintain risk register, review risks for interdependencies, develop mitigation information, and present project risks
  • Support the development of program deliverables
  • Working with records management personnel, serve as librarian for historical records keeping of critical program documentation
  • Support radio asset inventory management, shipping, and tracking
  • Provide analysis of issues affecting program cost, schedule, and performance
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
  • Ability to pass a government background investigation, including financial, criminal, residential, educational, foreign affiliation, prohibited substance use, and employment verifications; active U.S. Customs and Border Protection background investigation preferred. Please note that only U.S. citizens are eligible for a suitability determination.
  • Previous work with CBP is a plus.
  • 3 to 10 years of experience and a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business, management, finance, or information management
  • Background in Logistics, Inventory Management, and Procurement related activities preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency to procure, deploy and manage and life-cycle of LMR portable and mobile radio units for law enforcement at the Subject Matter Expert level
  • Ability to evaluate LMR equipment capabilities, manage deployments of established and new/upgraded equipment, provide sub scriber programming input, and contribute to technical issue resolution
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to communicate clearly with a variety of stakeholders.
  • Ability to effectively solve problems.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is a plus.

Targeted Salary Range: $100,000 - $125,000
