The VP, Professional Services is a senior leadership role providing technical expertise while leading and managing the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects and implementations within GovOS. This person will play a critical role in our initial customer engagement and will be critical to ensuring that we develop the proper processes internally and externally to drive customer value.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Utilize in-depth technical knowledge to provide guidance and expertise to project teams.
- Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging technologies relevant to the organization's projects.
- Manage implementation methodology leveraging both waterfall and agile models that streamlined processes resulting in efficient and quality projects
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project requirements and expectations.
- Communicate project progress, status, and outcomes to executive leadership and other relevant parties.
- Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute the organization's customer onboarding and ongoing services strategy.
- Ensure that professional service initiatives align with the company's overall business objectives.
- Assists in pre-sales presentations on the configuration and implementation process
- Oversee a team of technical resources including implementation specialists, programmers, quality assurance, project managers and training specialists.
- Engage with and work with adjacent organizations including Product Management, Engineering, Customer Support/Success, and Sales.
- Act as an Executive sponsor overseeing the planning, execution, and delivery of onboarding and professional service projects and implementations, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
- Oversees the management of the configuration backlog to ensure transparency and consistency of on time delivery of new systems, change orders and customer reported defects.
- Manage project risks and issues and implement effective mitigation strategies.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Define capacity modeling plans and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, budgets, and technology assets, to ensure successful project resource scaling.
- Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the highest level of quality in project deliverables.
- Develop and enforce project management methodologies standards and KPI’s
Qualifications:
- 7+ relevant experience in technical project management and leadership roles
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as information technology, computer science, or engineering.
- SAAS implementation or configuration experience with highly configurable enterprise SaaS solutions.
- Excellent project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated experience and skills in working with customers to define requirements and structure implementation plans
- Technical experience in performing and managing software development, systems integration, software implementation or other technical roles requiring an understanding of the technical details required to configure or integrate software systems
Compensation & Benefits
- $190,000 - $215,000 annual base + bonus - Depending on experience

The pay range above represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position and may change in the future. Actual pay may vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, including but not limited to work experience and performance.
