Job description

OLR America Inc. in Solon, Ohio provides information technology services and is one of the world's leading specialists in end-to-end retail systems integration. We are seeking a Solution Architect - Omni to work with clients and OLR teams to construct the overall design of Oracle Retail Stores solutions.
 
Job responsibilities and duties include:
 •Participate in the pre-sales process including presenting the software, discussing functionality, and delivery options with the client, assisting with cost estimates based on requirements.
•Assist with the initial solution design and implementation strategy;
•Lead discovery and requirement workshop sessions with clients on Oracle Retails Applications Suite.
•Explain Oracle Retail Applications Suite functionality to clients regarding business processes and technical characteristics.
•Oversee and advocate quality management systems, methodologies and collateral.
•Utilize experience in End-to-End Oracle Retail Stores implementation.
•Work with the Project Manager to create the project plan and resourcing needs.
•Know, understand and drive delivery of solution architecture based on the client's business process requirements.
•Ensure the client's architectural vision is accomplished via the technical specifications and code design.
•Lead complex discussions, evaluate options and advise regarding a final determination.
•Assist with the technical design, specifications, code development, QA, system testing, and user acceptance testing.
•Lead a presentation and discuss highly complex business processes with an understanding of the underlying technical architecture.
•Perform solution architecture audits to ensure the project plans is progressing as planned.
•Provide "better practice" business insight to clients throughout the client engagement (from presales through go live).
•Utilize understanding of applications and the underlying architecture of Oracle Retail Applications Suite (Xstore, Xstore Mobile, ORPOS Retail, ORCE on Prem and Cloud, OROB on Prem and Cloud, OROMS On Prem and Cloud, EFTLink and SIM On Prem and Cloud).
 
This position directly supervises the work of three [3] other employees, including Principal Business Consultant, Implementation Consultant, and Omni Functional Consultant.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Engineering (any), or any related field of study, plus at least five (5) years of experience in any related position(s) involving Oracle Retail Stores Solution integration. Will accept a foreign equivalent degree.
 
Qualified candidates must also have demonstrable knowledge, experience, skill, or proficiency with the following:
 
1.   Consulting on or participating in large-scale Oracle Retail Stores Solution integration or implementation projects including pre-sales, payment integration, gift card provider, web orders, external promotion engine.
2.   Oracle Retail Xstore Solutions Suite (Xstore, Xstore Mobile, Xadmin, Xcenter).
3.   Oracle Retail Customer Engagement (ORCE) application.
4.   Oracle Retail Order Broker (OROB) application.
5.   Oracle Retail Stores Solutions Suite (ORPOS, ORBO and ORCO).
6.   Microsoft VISO and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Power Point).
 
Requires up to 10% domestic travel. Work from home benefit.
