POSITION SUMMARY: The Civil/Structural Analysis Manager leads a team of engineers responsible for the analysis of the NuScale seismic category I, II, and RW-IIa structures. This includes a thorough understanding of dynamic analysis, static analysis, and soil structure interaction. The manager must be able to direct complex technical work.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Supervises a team of professionals and provides assistance and mentoring on technical work.
- Leads peer reviews and technical audits to ensure conformance to requirements.
- Prepares and reviews engineering specifications, drawings, reports and other documentation that communicate the design and technical aspects of structures and components associated with the seismic category I and II buildings.
- Provides technical and advisory assistance to other projects and offices.
- Participates in developing and updating company technical standards and practices.
- Prepares estimates, schedules, resource, and material forecasts.
- Understands and applies sound approaches and standards for solving technical problems in applicable discipline, and leads cross‐functional projects within areas of responsibility.
- Performs administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving timecards, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Oversees or develops technical statements of work.
- Evaluates performance, administers coaching, and conducts annual performance reviews.
- Develops training materials in areas of subject matter expertise.
- Develops team members’ capabilities in support of individual career goals and team objectives.
- Interfaces and coordinates with internal and external clients as required for successful project execution.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college or university is required. An advanced degree is preferred. A registered professional engineer license (P.E.) is strongly preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of five years of full-time, progressively responsible working experience is required. Must have a proven track record of coordinating design interfaces to provide design solutions in a timely manner. Must be capable of managing and motivating personnel assigned to designated control account work and coordinating multiple technical discipline interfaces to provide solutions in a timely manner. Additional experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Design and analysis of structures, including concrete and steel, use of design software and finite element method analyses.
- Working with the following codes: ASCE 43, ASCE 4, ACI 349 & 318, ASCE 7, IBC, and AISC N690, Steel Construction Manual and Seismic Design Manual.
- Use of ANSYS, SAP2000 and computer programing skills (e.g. Matlab, or Python)
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $144,055 - $173,859 annually. The full pay range is $129,152 - $202,008.
