ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY  
 
NP Digital Canada is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to lead discussions with stakeholders across the organization, translating complex client business needs into actionable marketing insights and recommendations. This role is critical in identifying the right marketing and business metrics and KPIs, conducting deep-dive media, audience and site analyses, and uncovering valuable trends within datasets. Strong attention to detail, critical thinking, and expertise in quantitative analysis are essential for success in this role. 
 
In addition to leading analytics initiatives, this role will play a pivotal part in shaping processes and frameworks that standardize data storytelling across agency programs. By conducting regular campaign analyses for SEO, Email, and Paid Media, the Senior Business Analyst will provide actionable insights that inform future strategies. Furthermore, the role will champion a "data-forward" culture, driving the use of analytics, optimization, and automation to enhance marketing performance across all teams. 

This position is based out of Canada. Applicants must reside and be authorized to work in Canada. 

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES  

  • Data Analysis: You will lead conversations with stakeholders across the organization, translating high-level client business needs into actionable analytics projects. Your role will involve identifying key metrics/KPIs, uncovering critical trends and connections within datasets, and building data models that drive impactful insights. A keen attention to detail, critical thinking, and strong quantitative skills will be essential for success.
  • Strategy: Develop and implement strategies across the customer journey, making compelling recommendations to business leaders how to create a positive buying experience based on data and research.
  • Campaign Analysis & Campaign Strategy: You will regularly plan and conduct detailed campaign analyses that not only deliver measurable business outcomes but also shape future marketing strategies and tactics across multiple channels.
  • Reporting: You will design visually appealing reports and dashboards for stakeholders, business partners, and executive leaders. Proficiency in tools like Looker, Tableau, and SQL will be ideal as you work across descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics to present clear, actionable insights. 
  • Business Acumen and Communication: You will engage with senior leadership, business unit heads, and non-technical audiences, ensuring complex ideas are communicated clearly and effectively. Your strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills will be key to making data accessible and actionable for all stakeholders.

ABOUT YOU 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Analytics, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role, preferably within a marketing agency or similar environment
  • Proven experience in marketing analytics, media performance analysis, and campaign optimization across SEO, Paid Media, and Email
  • Proficiency with data visualization and reporting tools such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI
  • Strong SQL skills for querying databases and analyzing large datasets
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, or similar web analytics platforms
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis and data modeling techniques (experience with R, Python, or other data analysis languages is a plus)
  • Understanding of marketing platforms and CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot)
  • Strong quantitative analysis skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and strategic recommendations
  • Experience in building and analyzing marketing metrics, KPIs, and dashboards
  • Expertise in identifying patterns and trends in large datasets, with a focus on optimizing marketing performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to engage with senior leadership and business units to ensure clarity in analytics and business strategy alignment
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of how marketing performance impacts overall business goals
  • Experience in leading cross-functional projects from discovery through execution
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
