What You Can Expect

As the IT Applications Management Senior Advisor in Houston, Texas or Remote, US for ENGIE’s GEM Operations (Global Energy Management & Supply) you will be an integral player providing direct IT development and support for our wholesale power and congestion trading operations specific to the PJM market. Everyday, you will report to the IT Director, Pre-Trade to provide daily collaboration with traders and the active support of databases, calculations, and associated data integration. You will also have skill sets in key technologies and a comprehensive understanding of energy trading practices and processes.

 

 

What You’ll Bring

  • A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, mathematics or related field; and a minimum of ten (10) years of technical software support experience  and general business experience in a professional setting; in lieu of a degree, you will have a minimum of twelve (12) years’ experience performing software support and general business experience in a professional setting

  • Experience with wholesale power markets
  • Knowledge of Azure and/ or AWS
  • Experience with relational databases such as (SQL Server) and architecture
  • Previous C# application development experience
  • Previous experience with large datesets along with time series or pricing models
  • Knowledge or R language, S-Plus or MATLAB
  • Proven experience with Excel, including the use of tables, privots, statistical functions and a good command of VBA

 

 

Additional Details

  • This role is eligible for remote work
  • Must possess a valid U.S. driver’s license
  • Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies

 

 

Compensation

Salary Range: $128,400 – $196,765 USD annually

 

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
