The Eligibility Specialist is an on site position at a Savista Hospital client, partnering with hospital administration, to help identify financial assistance for the uninsured or underinsured costumers. They assist with the application process and referrals to all State and Federal funded assistance programs, including but not limited to Medicare, Medicaid, and Disability and Charity Care programs. The Eligibility Specialist not only acts as an advocate for the customer, but also serves as a liaison between colleagues.

Working remotely: Working on Positive hip pool, follow-up on Mommies and Babies, completing the full billing process for the Insurance find in Epic and Artiva, screen patients for possible Medicaid or Charity Care.

Hours: 2:30pm – 11pm - Monday through Friday. 

  • Processing of Medicaid applications for all Programs electronically and manual paper processing. 
  • Sending contact letters to connect or reconnect with patient.
  • Maintaining Epic Work Queues and HCX internal Pools.
  • Updating all activity in Savista Internal database HCX.
  • Successfully Pass PE certification training to process State Medicaid Applications.
  • Along with other functions as needed by leadership.

Note: Savista is required by state specific laws to include the salary range for this role when hiring a resident in applicable locations. The salary range for this role is from $13.13 to $20.63. However, specific compensation for the role will vary within the above range based on many factors including but not limited to geographic location, candidate experience, applicable certifications, and skills
