SUMMARY 

The Microsoft BizTalk Solutions Engineer is a remote position that will provide technical support for BizTalk applications to the OCIO. Responsibilities include maintaining high-availability environments, designing integration solutions, and performing migrations. Candidates must have a public trust clearance.

Key qualifications include experience with BizTalk Server, C# development in Visual Studio (2013+), and knowledge of SQL Server and Oracle. Strong problem-solving and communication skills are essential. Preferred experience includes BizTalk 2019/2020, cloud-based solutions, and Microsoft CRM.

Must be able to obtain and maintain the required customer clearance for access to systems, facilities, equipment and property.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS  

Proven experience in supporting and maintaining BizTalk Server environments. 

Proficiency in Microsoft Visual Studio (version 2013 or higher) for developing BizTalk artifacts and C# helper classes. 

Strong knowledge of C#, SQL Server, Oracle, and other relevant technologies. 

Experience in designing, testing, and implementing BizTalk integration solutions. 

Ability to perform BizTalk migration services. 

Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to restore production applications to full operational capacity. 

Strong communication skills for providing status updates and expert advice. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

Experience with BizTalk 2019/2020 or higher versions. 

Familiarity with cloud-based BizTalk solutions. 

Experience working with Microsoft CRM and Oracle systems. 

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

Essential Duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 

 

Supports all existing BizTalk-based data integration processes. 

 

Maintains high-availability dual-node instances of BizTalk Server in Production and UAT environments. 

 

Maintains and configures a single production-ready BizTalk server instance. 

 

Maintains single-node instances of BizTalk Server in Test and Development environments. 

 

Ensures all BizTalk environments are up to date with manufacturers’ suggested configurations. 

 

Designs, tests, and implements BizTalk integration solutions based on business requirements. 

 

Performs BizTalk migration services (e.g., migrate from BizTalk 2016 on-premises to BizTalk 2019/2020 or higher version on-premises or in the cloud). 

 

Restores all production BizTalk applications to full operational capacity in case of unexpected outages. 

 

Uses Microsoft Visual Studio (version 2013 or higher) to develop BizTalk artifacts and C# helper classes for integration with external partners. 

 

Develops BizTalk artifacts and C# helper classes for integration with Microsoft CRM and Oracle systems. 

 

Provides expert advice on C#, SQL Server, Oracle, and other technologies related to BizTalk integration processes. 

 

Provide weekly status updates to the COR and Government Task Manager in written format on project progress and other assigned duties. 

 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 

Bachelor's degree and a minimum of ten 10) years’ relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education/experience.
