Job description

Olo is a leading SaaS platform accelerating digital transformation in the restaurant industry, by helping customers deliver more personalized and profitable guest experiences. As a result, our digital ordering, payment, and guest engagement solutions enable hospitality at scale, helping brands to do more with less, and making every guest feel like a regular.

We are looking for an experienced Contracts Manager to join the Olo Legal Team and support our Sales, Customer, and Partnerships teams. Reporting to the VP, Deputy General Counsel, you will oversee a variety of commercial agreement negotiations, contract drafting, and templates. Our colleagues look to us to assess risk and provide clear guidance, while meeting Olo’s business objectives, so you should be detail-oriented, efficient, and able to work independently with commercial contracts. As part of a small legal team at a growing company, you will have the opportunity to broaden your skill set while serving a crucial, high visibility role at Olo.

You can work remotely from anywhere in the U.S. or at Olo's headquarters in NYC.

What You'll Do
  • Review, draft, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements, including master services agreements, order forms, vendor services agreements, NDAs, service provider agreements, and terms of use
  • Manage existing contract renewals, non-renewals, extensions, terminations and amendments
  • Ensure material legal data is accurate and up-to-date in our contract management system
  • Draft, maintain, and update contract templates
  • Lead and participate in projects to increase the efficiency of commercial legal support and help scale the commercial legal function
  • Work closely with the revenue generating teams and proactively establish relationships with other departments
  • Project manage and participate in ad-hoc contract reviews and audits
  • Create commercial legal policy and process that will impact the entire organization as it matures and grows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on contractual requirements and approval workflows
  • Respond to inquiries on contract interpretation and compliance
  • Stay informed and up to date on relevant legal and regulatory changes

  • What We'll Expect From You
  • Bachelor’s degree, plus Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM), Certified Federal Contracts Manager (CFCM) or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) credentials are preferred
  • 5+ years of contract management experience, preferably for an in-house legal department
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to interpret a variety of written and verbal instructions
  • Experience with contract management tools, including Salesforce
  • High degree of comfort and proficiency with Microsoft Word
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a close knit team, and the ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Ability to handle privileged, confidential and sensitive information in an appropriate and professional manner
