SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Data Analyst for our Data Operations team to perform a wide range of tasks including data extraction and collation, data analysis, database queries, utilize tools to collect and modify data from external sources, maintain documentation for internal processes and data dictionaries, and support data clients for common problems and information requests.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Perform ETL processes on raw data from varied sources utilizing different methods combining tools such as Excel, SQL server and Talend.
  • Utilize AWS Glue jobs and SQL scripts to run automated ETL processes.
  • Update existing legacy Python, Glue and SQL scripts to improve efficiency and coordinate with Data Engineer towards automated processes.
  • Utilize Git repositories for maintaining updated local and server-based ETL scripts. 
  • Work with Data Engineering and Business Intelligence teams to identify and support any data needs.
  • Provide ad hoc data analysis services to multiple teams within Bright, performing data matching across multiple services utilizing Excel, Python and SQL where needed.
  • Maintain team documentation on ETL processes in Confluence.
  • Perform canonical data mapping exercises for new data integrations.
  • Work with the team to identify issues and provide workarounds or alternative solutions.
  • Operate in an agile scrum environment to meet project sprint requirements and work with team leaders to write, size and elaborate on tickets.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Good working knowledge of using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and delimited data sources for data manipulation.
  • At least 3 years working with relational databases like MSSQL, MySQL, MariaDB or similar.
  • Understanding of structured and semi-structured data stores, concepts like normalized and denormalized data and data modeling.
  • Intermediate level capabilities with Python.
  • Experience working with Git repository for versioning.
  • Experience with AWS Glue and PySpark is a big plus for consideration of the position, but not required.
  • Experience with understanding business needs to correctly identify, combine and de-duplicate data.
  • Some experience working directly or involved in Business Intelligence tools is desired but not required.
  • Some experience working with Atlassian JIRA in a kanban or agile scrum environment in a task-oriented position a plus.
  • Have worked with Atlassian Confluence or similar products, writing technical documentation and procedures, creating rich articles and content structures.
  • An understanding of common Single Sign-On concepts, working with technologies like OAuth2, SAML2, OIDC and vendors such as Okta is a bonus.
  • Have possibly worked with different types of APIs and API data flow concepts, including RESTful, OData, Postman and API documentation standards. Having worked with RETS and RESO Web API is a big advantage.
  • Worked previously in the Real Estate industry, with an understanding of the agent-broker-client relationships and the responsibilities of the Multiple-Listing Service (MLS) is highly desired.
  • Associate degree in computer science or a related field is desirable, or equivalent work experience.

 

The salary range for this position is $60,000 to $85,000, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for annual performance-based bonuses.
