Job description

Your Responsibilities
We’ve got the productivity tools – and you’ve got the legal expertise to keep us operating smoothly! As our Legal Counsel, you’ll play a vital role in empowering internal teams and ensuring our company remains compliant and risk-free. You’ll enable efficient operations across the organization by delivering practical legal advice and establishing streamlined processes. You’ll collaborate with external counsels on specialized legal matters, ensuring that we always have the right resources for complex challenges.
What Makes You Special
  • 4+ Years’ Experience. You bring a proven track record of at least 4 years working as an in-house legal counsel, preferably in a B2B SaaS or tech environment, with expertise in IT law, data privacy (GDPR), and commercial law.
  • Strategic Partner. You have a proven ability to work as a business partner, collaborating with stakeholders to offer legal solutions that are practical and business-friendly.
  • Ownership of Legal Processes. You will take charge of legal workflows, driving operational efficiency while ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.
  • Contract Expertise. You’re experienced in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts, ensuring risk-free and efficient outcomes for commercial, vendor, and customer agreements.
  • Legal Advisor. You have strong expertise in IT law, including software licensing, intellectual property, and cybersecurity regulations, and are well-versed in EU regulations, particularly data privacy laws (GDPR) and digital services.
  • Compliance Knowledge. You ensure compliance with local and EU regulations, including corporate governance, and commercial regulations, particularly in Austria and Germany. You create clear guidelines and processes to maintain company-wide adherence.
  • Public Sector Savvy. You bring experience in public procurement law and handling public tenders within Austria, Germany, or the EU. Familiarity with public sector regulations and compliance requirements is a strong advantage.
  • Problem Solver. You have excellent negotiation and decision-making skills, focused on minimizing legal risks while supporting business growth.
  • Operational Excellence. You collaborate with internal teams to develop legal frameworks and workflows that increase operational efficiency, helping upskill non-legal teams on key legal topics.
  • Language Proficiency. You’re fluent in both German and English, with excellent written and verbal skills to navigate legal matters across multiple languages.
