Job description

Our client specializes in providing businesses with compliance and operational support to include HR, Payroll, Accounting, Contracting, and IT. The Subcontracts & Contracts Lead position is a full-time, fully remote position. The primary responsibility of this position is reviewing federal contracts and drafting and negotiating subcontracts and other agreements for clients.

·        Manages, drafts, and administers contracts and subcontracts agreements for small government contractors and joint ventures.

·        Manages and administers GSA schedule or GWAC contracts, modifications, and compliance.

·        Manages process and ensures procurement practices, transactions and documentation comply with Company policies and procedures, contract requirements, and Government regulations.

·        Accurately maintain contract and subcontract briefs.

·        Coordinates with accounting department in contract and subcontract briefs, contract audit/filing, and close-out process.

·        Provides interpretation of contracts; organizes or processes correspondence with contracting parties

·        Negotiates terms and conditions with both government/commercial customers and subcontractors.

·        Maintains all internal and client contracts and subcontracts files as required.

·        Complete compliance and contract reporting as needed/required

·        Other duties as assigned.



Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree. 10 years’ Experience may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Contract or Subcontract Administrator role.
  • Ability to research, interpret and analyze precedent decisions laws, and regulations according to the FAR, DFARS, and various GSA Schedules, and Service Contract Act with minimal oversight.
  • Successful candidates possess highly developed time-management, task prioritization, problem-resolution, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under firm and quick turnaround deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; advanced knowledge of Word
  • Candidates must further possess effective written and verbal communication skills (must be able to craft original technical correspondence).
  • Capable of writing clear and comprehensive documents/reports based on business related data derived from numerous sources.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CFCM or CPCM
  • Experience with DOD contracts
