Role Summary:

We’re looking for a Sr. Solutions Engineer who can technically assist and enable our customers. As an SE, you’ll be a product expert, who loves solving problems and is customer-service oriented. In this role, you’ll be responsible for working with customers across a variety of industries and a variety of tools to better understand their workflows. You’ll serve as a coach and trusted advisor during the training, implementation, and adoption phases of the customer lifecycle.

As the ideal candidate, you have both a technical and consulting services background that enables you to quickly assess and offer value to Censys’s customers. What You’ll Do:

  • Partner with account executives to drive multi-stakeholder deal cycles across industries to solve mission-critical business problems
  • Drive the sales discovery process, helping to uncover customer's current pains and align to their key business objectives and technical requirements
  • Support efforts to author and maintain our user documentation 
  • Maintain up to date technical and functional knowledge of the the Censys platform including Search and Attack Surface Management
  • Collaborate with product and engineering to improve the user experience from end to end

 

What You’ll Bring:

  • Communicate clearly and concisely to technical and non-technical users
  • Knowledge in attack surface composition elements: ASN, CIDRs, domain registrations, certificates and whois records
  • Knowledge of common network protocols: https, ssh, smtp, ftp, smb, rdp, etc  
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices
  • Understanding of SSL/TLS and certificates
  • Above average knowledge of information security and best practices
  • 4+ years of experience as a Sales Engineer
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. Comfortable with giving presentations on stage with large audiences
  • Passion to work at a start-up
  • You’ll be empathetic, curious, flexible, and humble
  • You’re comfortable working in an environment with ambiguity and evangelizing our product, and you’re not afraid to share your opinion
  • You have a desire and passion to be apart of an emerging market in the cybersecurity industry 

Our on-target salary range for this role is between 387,402.15 QAR - 639,723.29 QAR and equity.

Our roots are in Ann Arbor, Michigan with location hubs in Seattle, the Bay Area, and Washington D.C. Our innovation is fueled by the team’s global perspectives and diverse backgrounds. Our EMEA team is located throughout Europe, this position is fully remote located in the Middle East with travel opportunities to meet customers and connect with colleagues. Travel for this role is expected to be approximately 50%.
