What You’ll Be Doing:
Administrator - Enterprise Applications, Corporate IT Infrastructure (Remote)
Administrator, Atlassian Applications is a remote position part of the Digital Workplace Services team as a part of Evolent’s Corporate IT Infrastructure department. This position will report to the Lead of Digital Workplace Services. The Administrator position requires strong technical experience focusing on production support of Atlassian data center applications - Jira, Confluence, and Crowd (including all integrations and add-ons).
The Administrator is accountable for implementation, support, administration, and maintenance of Evolent’s Atlassian application tools and the integrations. Including but not limited to handling support tickets, producing reports, managing integrations, facilitating requirements and design sessions with functional users, end user training, and documenting system configurations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and support all administrative functions of Jira, Confluence, and Crowd on Microsoft Azure.
- Provide creative cloud architecture and coding solutions, participate in the entire application life cycle from design to development, testing, deployment, and support of various applications.
- Develop, automate, and deploy standard and custom solutions to functional users.
- Write custom code in Groovy to integrate with other internal and external applications.
- Produce custom reports and perform system health checks.
- Create Jira projects, workflows, permissions, notifications, and custom fields.
- Engage with vendors’ Support teams to resolve application issues on escalated problems.
- Create Confluence spaces, archive, move and purge content as needed.
- Manage upgrades and maintenance of software and integrations, including staging and production launches.
- Maintain and update documentation related to architecture, operations, and support.
- Ensure that the needs of all customers are met accurately and in a timely fashion, as documented in team Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- Continue to improve technical expertise by researching and identifying new processes and technological alternatives to resolve problems and implement continuous improvement.
- Adhere to and advocate all requirements of IT Privacy and Security Policies and Procedures.
- Provide occasional weekend and after-hours support as needed, as well as on-call coverage for Sev-1 issues.
- Required to work in EST/CST business hours.
Qualifications:
Required
- Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience supporting datacenter/server based Atlassian applications Jira, Confluence, and Crowd
- Hands on experience with JQL, SQL, REST APIs, manage SSL certs, Apache Tomcat and JVM tuning.
- Experience working with audit, privacy, and security requirements, including SOX, SOC2, and HIPAA.
- Working knowledge of Agile software development methodology, to include release planning and deployment.
- Experience with change management while leading enterprise adoption of standardized tools and processes
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to negotiate effectively.
- Ability to build trust and form effective relationships with team members and business stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a dynamic environment, including the ability to manage and prioritize tasks while maintaining a service-oriented work ethic.
- Must be very detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently to support multiple complex projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Skills preferred: Groovy, PowerShell – or any scripting experience.
- Experience with Azure cloud
- Experience in healthcare IT
- Previous experience with third party on-prem software implementation, administration, and support
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to adapt an approach as needed for each engagement.
Mandatory Requirements:
