ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Provides Testing consultation/training to project teams (Test Coordination, Test Strategy, Test Plans, Test Cases, Bug Tracking, etc.), with a specific emphasis on Automation.
- Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement (testing/quality) across the organization.
- Identifies and implements efficiencies across projects in the maintenance and support of the infrastructure within Bright MLS.
- Prepares and forecasts the QAT department's seasonal and long-range plans.
- Understands and implements quality metrics across the organization. Uses metrics as a tool for continuous improvement.
- Manages testing activities across multiple, simultaneous projects within Bright system.
- Develops test plans and test strategy for each release.
- Reviews test plans and conducts peer reviews of test cases.
- Identifies risks and prepares mitigation plans.
- Provides test estimates to project managers, development and release in preparation of implementation timelines.
- Works with business analysts and product owners to ensure test coverage of business requirements is complete.
- Oversees a pool of software testing professionals for projects, providing software testing education and mentoring.
- Ensures test cases are developed according to standards for both manual and automated applications.
- Provides daily status to project team on test execution progress for the release.
- Performs problem solving and root cause analysis when defects occur.
- Coordinates tasks with onshore/offshore resources.
- Participates on continuous improvement efforts within the QA department keeping Bright objectives and initiates in mind.
- Researches and evaluates new testing technologies and tools to ensure Bright systems are up to date.
- Evaluates and recommends process or technical changes to partner organizations.
- Provides guidance around automation strategies, working with the QA Automation Team and Application Development.
- Performs other duties and assignments associated with the position that are reasonably assigned to support the overall needs of the business.
REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:
- Experience in developing Test Automation tools as well as Automated Testing of web-based applications is desired.
- Proven history of making product lifecycle process improvements is required.
- Typically requires an advance degree and at least 9 years of experience; or a combination of education and experience.
- Experience in agile software delivery, implementation, automation frameworks, and continuous integration best practices.
- Experience managing and coordinating offshore resources is preferred.
- Strong SQL knowledge and experience with MS Project or Visio is preferred.
- Java development experience is a plus.
The salary range for this position is $85,000 to $115,000, based on experience, skills, and qualifications. This position is also eligible for annual performance-based bonuses.
