What You’ll Do As a Lead Accountant

  • Conduct & participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close consolidations process
  • Conduct review and analysis of subsidiary results, identifying trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Review complex consolidated financial data for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Conduct the review and monitoring of monthly Balance Sheet account reconciliations
  • Support internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis as needed
  • Prepare government surveys and questionnaires as required and complete General Ledger maintenance as needed
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of key accounting policies, accounting files and work papers, and system process documentation
  • Identify risks and assist with process improvements, design, and implementation of controls in accordance with SOX
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal accounting policies and controls
  • Lead & participate in projects, including process improvements and control initiatives, as well as system implementations

What You’ll Need

  • To be 18 years of age or older
  • Authorization to work in the United States for this company
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting - CPA is strongly preferred
  • 8+ years of experience in corporate accounting
  • Analytical skills with knowledge of accounting principles and GAAP standards
  • Demonstrated ability to understand and process financial and accounting data
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and coachability
  • Technically competent with various software programs, including but not limited to Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Previous experience or exposure to large ERP systems highly preferred
  • Experience working with Google Drive, Smartsheet, Alteryx, and Power BI a plus
