Position Summary
The certification program manager is responsible for carrying out the development and implementation of the certification program as directed by the Technical Services (TS) strategy. The certification program includes documenting the procedures, policies, and requirements into a program manual. This role will manage the administrative program details necessary to maintain the continued compliance of partners with program requirements. The role will include identifying, evaluating, and making recommendations of potential partners for the auditing and evaluation of compliance of entities with SEIA published standards that will reflect the SEIA brand as part of the certification.
Core Duties & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the policies and procedures of the certification program with Technical Services team members
- Program development and research to create, implement, and manage the certification program with Technical Services team members
- Manage partner inquiries, contacts, communications, and documents to maintain records of compliance of partners
- Address inquiries and develop market-facing communications
- Create content for and collaborate with the SEIA team to develop communication and marketing tools to expand and maintain program partners
- Conduct research and due diligence for expanding the certification program to add newly published SEIA standards
- Advocate strongly on behalf of SEIA to work with an equity and inclusivity mindset throughout the engagement process
Requirements
Professional Experience, Education & Other Qualifications
- 1-2 years working in a team environment, conducting research, and collaborating with other team members
- Solar and/or energy storage industry experience preferred but not mandatory
- Bachelor’s degree in business or organizational management; or the equivalent of 3-5 years working in a business or program management role accompanied by an associate’s degree in business, organizational management or a similar program
- Problem-solving skills, organization, and attention to detail, particularly in research and documentation
- Analytical and critical thinking skills that result in best recommendation proposals for action
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-growing market
- Excellent clear and concise communication skills for both internal and industry-facing engagements
- Proficiency in MS 365
Working Conditions
- Work is in an office or a remote office suitably equipped with internet and telephone access.
- SEIA employees in the Washington, D.C. region follow a hybrid remote and in-person office model. Employees work 3 days a week in an office environment and as needed when there are special events or meetings but otherwise can be remote
- Travel is required for this role.
Compensation Range
$65,000-$75,000 annually, based on experience and an excellent benefits package.
