Systems Engineer, Senior
Key Role:
Deliver Department of Defense space-based capabilities by supporting ground system implementation and sustainment activities. Assess current operations and technical baselines. Identify system gaps, mitigations, and solutions. Review and prepare technical documentation. Evaluate options for addressing operations and technical problems. Provide status on these systems while identifying steps to evolve and mature operations. Provide technical and project management experience for client consideration and for team analysis. Represent your client in numerous working groups, Integrated Product Teams, and management reviews. Lead teams that directly support launch and early orbit activities and communicate operational status to internal and external stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
7+ years of experience with systems engineering and enterprise integration efforts
Experience with programmatic support to technical activities, including document writing, tracking programmatic and technical issues and activities, and reporting status internally and externally
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree
Additional Qualifications:
5+ years of experience in space systems, space-to-ground engineering, and space mission lifecycle processes
Experience with Confluence, Jira, or Teams
Experience with managing operational and development technical and programmatic efforts as a Systems Engineering Technical Advisor Liaison
Experience with DoD or Space Force programs of record, including program management and acquisition processes
Experience in orbital mechanics, satellite constellation orbit design, and ground system design and management
Possession of excellent verbal, written, leadership, and communication skills with internal teams and external customers and vendors
Master’s degree
Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
