About This Role

As a Senior Software Engineer in OutSystems R&D, you’ll be a key player in developing the next generation of our mobile CI/CD platform. This is a highly diverse role, offering the opportunity to work across multiple layers of our technology stack.

You will be involved in everything from cloud infrastructure design and management, API development, and resource orchestration, to ensuring system resilience and scalability. You’ll take part in coding and optimizing services at every level — whether it’s building and securing cloud environments, integrating APIs for seamless functionality, or orchestrating complex workflows across distributed systems.

If you’re someone who enjoys the challenge of working with a wide range of technologies — from cloud platforms like AWS and Kubernetes, to programming in C#, Python, and even dabbling in languages like Node.JS, TypeScript, or Ruby — this role will give you the chance to apply your full stack expertise.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and developing solutions with the team, by following development processes (like TDD, BDD, code reviews...);

  • Optimizing the performance of the platform component you’ll work on;

  • Produce and test code in short cycles, with a high degree of automation;

  • Collaborate closely with end-users to iteratively improve solutions and exceed user expectations;

  • Focus on developing maintainable solutions that scale to thousands of users;

  • Knowledge of product development best practices, continuous delivery, and testing;

  • Last-line troubleshoot of complex incidents created by the solutions developed in your team, having on-call support rotation;

  • Act as a technical mentor, driving best practices in development and continuous delivery.

What You Need To Succeed

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or similar. Equivalent experience in software development will also be considered for exceptional candidates;

  • 4+ years of software development experience;

  • Excellent coding skills in C# (.Net Core) and Python;

  • Proficient in Kubernetes and AWS;

  • Mastery of continuous delivery and testing techniques;

  • Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional, agile environment;

  • Good communication skills and fluency in English;

  • Availability to participate in an on-call rotation;

  • Experience with Node.JS, TypeScript, Ruby, and Fastlane is a plus;

  • A self-driven problem solver with a passion for analyzing and designing elegant solutions for complex, high-tech problems.

  • Knowledgeable of core software engineering principles, including algorithms, data structures, Object-Oriented Design, and best coding practices.

  • Encourages collaboration, knowledge sharing, and development best practices, ensuring your team continuously improves and innovates.

  • Passionate about learning, always seeking out new knowledge and helping others navigate and understand complex subjects.

  • An active learner of emerging technologies and frameworks, eager to stay at the forefront of technological advancements.

  • Great troubleshooting skills, with a knack for diagnosing and resolving intricate issues quickly and effectively.
