About The Team
Payrix by Worldpay is a modern platform that provides Payments Facilitation (PayFac) as a service with a full suite of payments and risk management services built for vertical SaaS companies. With Payrix, SaaS providers can embed payments and financial services in their native experience and add a new revenue stream in a few weeks. What You’ll Own
As a Sr. Software Engineer, you work with leading edge technology as you build innovative fintech products that change the way the world pays, banks and invests. This will involve developing core versions of software applications, identifying client requirements and technical best practices, and interacting with other engineering groups.
- Working with a great engineering team to solve complex problems
- Contributing to building a scalable platform, employing engineering best practices, on top of AWS
- Collaborating to help refine our business requirements and evolve our payments platform
- Fully owning the services that you and your team are building
- Participating in team code reviews
- Mentoring less experienced team members, helping them to become successful within the team and the project
- Working with technical and non-technical people outside the team as it relates to team-owned projects/features
What You Bring
- BA/BS or equivalent experience in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field
- 6+ years’ experience with software development, including expert knowledge of best practices, including code architectural patterns (Domain Driven Design, Hexagonal Architecture, Model View Controller, etc.) and code design principles and patterns (SOLID principles, Observer pattern, Object Relational Mapping, Factory Pattern, Repository Pattern, etc.), with demonstrated ability to properly apply them as needed
- Solid understanding of large-scale software systems
- 3+ years’ experience building REST APIs and understands the particularities of building API-first web applications
- Have some knowledge of microservice architectures
- Very strong communication skills, both oral and written
- Clear understanding of Software Development Life Cycle stages and best practices around each stage
- Demonstrated ability to technically own the delivery of medium sized features, involving multiple people within the team
- Proficient with automated testing including the different types of automated tests and how they should be applied, ensuring proper coverage with every piece of code written
- Extensive proficiency in provisioning and maintaining the environment in which projects run
- Experience with basic cloud services for building and running cloud-native applications
- Have the ability to operationally own the projects under the team’s scope
- 2+ years hands-on experience with AWS; certification would be a plus
- Experience with C# and .NET ecosystem

- Agile Development experience
- CI/CD experience
- Experience with Node.JS + TypeScript ecosystem
- Experience feeding data to, and using, data lakes
- Fintech or payments/banking product development

Worldpay is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $136,190.00 - $228,790.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
