We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior IT Development Manager to lead our software development team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex software projects. This role is pivotal in driving our technological vision and ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing development team.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration.
  • Oversee recruitment, training, and performance evaluations.
  • Strategic Planning & Execution
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to inform and influence the technology roadmap.
  • Align development initiatives with business objectives and customer needs.
  • Identify and implement new technologies to enhance team and product offerings.
  • Project Management
  • Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and budget.
  • Implement Agile/Scrum methodologies to improve efficiency and quality.
  • Technical Oversight
  • Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team.
  • Ensure adherence to best practices in coding, architecture, and security.
  • Oversee the integration of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines into development methods.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Work closely with Product Management, QA, and operations teams.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate effective collaboration between development and other departments.
  • Innovation & Continuous Improvement
  • Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Drive initiatives for process improvements and technological advancements.
  • Encourage a learning environment through workshops and training sessions.


Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in software development.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in programming languages relevant to our tech stack (e.g., Java, Python, JavaScript).
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum).
  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
  • Leadership Skills
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Excellent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Additional Skills
