Core Duties

About The Position

We seek a high-energy, results-driven business development professional with sound business acumen and natural sales instincts to join our Business Development organization as a Business Development Representative (BDR). You will gain experience interacting with clients across all insurance verticals and a broad geographical area. Patra is a fast-paced, innovative environment where you will be provided with marketing and sales tools, resources, and outstanding leadership to sell business application solutions. You will also interact with executives and managers at all levels. This position is an outbound/inbound call/email position. This position is a work-from-home position, and limited travel may be required to attend marketing and/or sales company events. In addition to salary, Sales Qualified Lead (SQL) quota attainment contributes to variable compensation.

Responsibilities

  • Performs high-level discovery outbound calls to identify needs, turning Sales Qualified Leads over to the Sales team and booking discovery meetings for the team.
  • Conducts deep market research to identify key players. Identifying and prospecting key executives to generate new business and qualify marketing leads for defined territory sales executives.
  • Utilizes sales tools to give detailed information to prospective clients and facilitates email campaigns.
  • Assisting Marketing and Sales with Trade Show meet & greet. Includes pre-show reach out, show support & post-show meeting follow-up, and meetings.
  • Assists in defining sales initiatives.
  • Ensures alignment with overall sales strategies.
  • Helping drive enterprise business through outbound prospecting via cold calling, email, social, and prospecting with ZoomInfo and HubSpot.
  • Manage, track, and report on all activities and results using HubSpot CRM.
  • Maintain active engagement with new and existing leads through creative follow-up communications to increase customer interest in Patra services.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of one (1) year of business development or sales experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HubSpot CRM (or similar CRM) tools or similar applications.
  • Knowledge of business processes and sales techniques preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Insurance Knowledge greatly preferred - Personal or Commercial, Employee Benefits within a Brokerage, MGA/MGU, Carrier or Wholesale.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Excellent follow-up and attention to detail.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
