Job Profile Summary
This role focuses on supporting the design, development, and implementation of human resource programs and policies, including recruitment, training and development, compensation and benefits, mobility, talent acquisition, diversity, talent management & organization development and employee/labor relations. In addition, this role focuses on performing the following Talent Acquisition duties specific to physicians and advanced practice clinicians (APCs): Attracts, sources, acquires, and retains skilled talent for organization needs including talent evaluation and screening (assessing skills, ranking, reference checking, licensure, etc.), job advertising and posting internally and externally, including third party recruiting job boards, talent prospecting at conferences and on campus at educational institutions, talent staffing and planning, and managing new physician and advanced practice clinicians (APCs) onboarding process. A professional individual contributor role that may direct the work of other lower level professionals or manage processes and programs. The majority of time is spent overseeing the design, implementation or delivery of processes, programs and policies using specialized knowledge and skills typically acquired through advanced education. An experienced level role that applies practical knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Works independently with general supervision, problems faced are difficult but typically not complex, and may influence others within the job area through explanation of facts, policies and practices.
Job Overview
This role is responsible for recruiting top talent at Tufts Medicine. From the time initial contact is made and the physician/advanced practice clinician (APC) contract is signed, this role will lead the recruitment full cycle process. Full lifecycle recruiting for an integrated healthcare system in a highly competitive market, this role will develop and execute recruiting strategies alongside physician leaders and administration to recruit and retain top talent for both Academic and Community sites utilizing industry knowledge, market trends, and leveraged networking relationships. This position will proactively develop talent pipelines which include diverse candidates by using enhanced social media sourcing, prescreening, interviewing and collaborative recommendations of high-quality candidates.
Job Description
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
2. Four (4) years of relevant experience in physician or advanced practice clinician recruiting with a demonstrated track record of excellence in recruiting and assessing physician and advanced practice talent.
3. Five (5) years of related work experience required in high volume recruiting.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree in a related field.
2. Six (6) years of relevant experience in physician or advanced practice clinician recruiting with a demonstrated track record of excellence in recruiting and assessing physician and advanced practice talent.
3. Eight (8) years of related work experience required in high volume recruiting.
4. Experience in recruiting and attracting diverse candidates.
5. Fellow, Association of Staff Physician Recruiters (FASPR) or Certified Physician/Provider Recruitment Professional (CBRP) certification.

1. Develops thorough knowledge of hospital-based and community-based provider recruitment needs.
2. Sources top talent through building relationships and outreach efforts with Residency and Fellowship programs, internal and external database searches, social media channels, networking events, and conference attendance if necessary.
3. Delivers an exceptional candidate experience for engaging and retaining talent which includes a dynamic, well-designed interview processes and consistent timely feedback.
4. Develops creative recruitment strategy recommendations for difficult recruitment requisitions.
5. Grows a diverse pipeline of candidates with both academic and community interest.
6. Screens candidates and provide expedited written recommendations to hiring teams.
7. Engages physician leaders to ensure active participation in the search and recruitment of talent.
8. Partners with internal sources to develop and manage job postings and renewals across all platforms.
9. Actively participates in the interview process to assess candidate fit for the organization and provide prompt feedback to hiring team.
10. Provides salary recommendations based on current benchmark data and alignment with system-wide compensation plans.
11. Negotiates offers with candidates in cooperation with the hiring team.
12. Drafts offer letters and employment agreements.
13. Manages candidate engagement and maintain interest for current and future provider opportunities across all affiliates.
14. Participates in both external and internal facing Department meetings to meet physician and/or advanced practice clinician recruitment goals.
Physical Requirements:
1. Work environment: professional office environment with typical office requirements such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, etc.
2. This is largely a sedentary role, which involves sitting most of the time, but may involve movements such as walking, standing, reaching, ascending / descending stairs and operate office equipment.
3. Frequently required to speak, hear, communicate and exchange information.
4. Able to see and read computers displays, read fine print, and/or normal type size print and distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
5. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
6. Ability to work in confined or open environments.
7. Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
8. Occasional travel to our various locations (up to 25% travel may be required).
