Travel required - 50 to 75% Territory is West Coast of US and Western part of Canada. Candidates must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship currently or in the future.
Sales region – West Coast. Should reside ideally in, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Idaho, Oregon, Washington or Montana near a major airport for ease of travel. Western Canada is also part of this sales region.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for managing multiple distributors within the region and achieving the region's financial strategic goals. This role requires superior management skills and the ability to implement all programs as directed by management effectively.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works with the distribution sales team to prepare revenue objectives and goals for the assigned territories.
- Travel with distributors to understand the market needs; utilize voice of customer, market mapping, and other marketing techniques.
- Evaluate and implement appropriate new sales techniques to increase the region’s sales volume and ensure compliance with all appropriate policies.
- Provide leadership to the distributor sales team; motivate and encourage the sales team to ensure quotas are met.
- Organizes and oversees the schedules, territories, and performance of distributor sales managers/territory managers.
- Designs and recommends sales programs and sets short and long-term sales strategies.
- Recommend product or service enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
- Maintain relationships with relevant trade associations.
- Resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations.
- Acts as company representative at trade meetings or shows
- Performs other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Business Administration or Marketing preferred.
- Sales leadership experience
- Experience in Rail preferred but not required.... heavy equipment sales and working with distributor channels is relevant
- Technical / Mechanical Sales Experience a plus
- Five or more years of sales experience required.

- Strong supervisory and leadership skills
- Excellent sales and customer services skills with proven negotiation skills
- Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software
