BGE, Inc. is seeking a Recordkeeper - Construction (TXDOT) for the Construction Management Department. Role will support in Construction Sites in San Antonio, North & South Austin

Job Responsibilities:

  • Attends pre-construction meetings and coordinates with contractor recordkeeper’s or equivalent personnel.
  • Maintains construction project records and processes related paperwork.
  • Reviews and modifies contract documents to reflect changes to original agreement.
  • Monitors records to verify compliance with state and federal laws and determines payments due to contractors for work completed.
  • Monitors contractors’ compliance with federal requirements related to Equal Employment Opportunity and wages.
  • Monitors contractors’ on-the-job training, Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE), Small Business Enterprise (SBE), Historically Underutilized Business (HUB) programs
  • Prepares and submits monthly and final estimates; checks calculations against work log and estimate forms, to verify work is completed before payment is made.
  • Prepares correspondence, reports and supporting documents.
  • Contract administration and oversight
  • Preparing and maintaining confidential and sensitive records, files and reports
  • Adapt recordkeeping to individual client’s needs and expectations.
  • Provides these responsibilities to a variety of clients including: TxDOT, cities, counties, mobility authorities, private developers, and others.

 

Job Requirements:

  • TXDOT Standard procedures relative to construction contract administration.
  • Skilled in the use of TxDOT programs, including SiteManager
  • Processes change orders, supplemental agreements, and extra work orders.
  • Sets up field record books for each construction project within assigned area
  • Working knowledge of Governmental policies and procedures
  • DBE, HUB, SBE programs
  • Ability to use standard office equipment, personal computers and applicable programs, applications and systems.
  • Work may include extended periods of time viewing a computer monitor and/or operating a keyboard.
  • Ability to sit for long periods of time.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to work hours outside of normal business hours, as required.
  • Valid and current driver’s license to include the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
  • Provide reliable transportation.
