About The Position
Velosio is looking for a Cloud Engineer I to be an integral member of the Cloud Team.
As a
Cloud Engineer I at Velosio, you will focus on environment deployments, environment management, storage management, application deployment, and shared services activities including backup management, event monitoring, and resolution, anti-virus management, and Level 2 support for Cloud Clients.
Your Day Might Look Like
- Virtual networks, image creation and maintenance, subscription management, storage management, Backup/DR, Network Security Groups, Role Based Access Controls, Azure Active Directory, Azure Automation, Monitoring and Logging.
- In conjunction with other function groups and other business units, determine cloud infrastructure requirements and specifications while maintaining appropriate documentation related to cloud infrastructure.
- Recommend, coordinate, and perform the implementation of cloud solutions.
- Install, troubleshoot, and maintain all supported cloud infrastructure and services.
- Perform installation, upgrade, and support activities with minimal disruption to the business while following standard change management policies.
- Develop repeatable processes and/or scripts to allow the timely and efficient deployment of those Cloud services used by enterprise.
- Assist in the development of monitoring and reporting tools to ensure the team is aware of the current state of the various cloud systems.
- Provide and coordinate support for cloud infrastructure and cloud services such that issues are resolved to include performance monitoring, and/or managing the intake, diagnostic, prioritization, and resolution processes while maintaining the appropriate level of communication with the client, management and other staff involved in the resolution of the issue. This may require availability during non-business hours to respond to escalation alerts.
- Plan and implement the remediation of security issues as defined.
- Investigate and stay abreast of technical and practical industry information relating to cloud computing.
What You'll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Windows Certified / Azure Certified preferred
- Experienced in Microsoft Azure with at least 1 year of Azure hands-on experience and 5+ years of IT operational experience in an enterprise environment managing and modifying Cloud resources and VM’s
- Direct skills should include PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates
- Experience with Scripting/Automation/IaaS/PaaS/SaaS
- Experience with Windows Server 2012 administration
- Experience with Windows and SQL Server installation and configuration
- Understanding of LAN/WAN/ Cloud Hosting Networks, including VNET and VLAN
- Understanding of Enterprise Class Firewalls
- Strong technical and analytical skills required in solving complex system infrastructure issues
- Strong written and oral communication skills including the ability to present complex technical information to people at all levels
- Time management and project management skills
