Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking a ServiceNow SME to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This individual will provide expertise in the implementation, configuration, and support of the ServiceNow platform. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, develop solutions, and ensure that the platform is optimized to meet organizational requirements. The ideal candidate will support the Department of Homeland Security (DHS)/ Transportation Security Administration (TSA) customer.

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the ServiceNow platform, including its architecture, modules, workflows, and best practices.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements and solutions.
  • Design, develop, configure, and implement ServiceNow solutions that meet business needs, ensuring alignment with best practices.
  • Customize ServiceNow applications and facilitate the development and integration of new capabilities, modules, and workflows.
  • Perform day-to-day administration of the ServiceNow platform, including upgrades, patches, and
  • Provide technical guidance, training, and support to end-users and other team members to ensure effective utilization of the platform.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve ServiceNow issues. Escalate complex issues as necessary and provide long-term solutions.
  • Lead ServiceNow-related projects, ensuring timely delivery, proper documentation, and adherence to project timelines.
  • Ensure that ServiceNow configurations and customizations comply with internal policies, best practices, and industry standards.
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation of ServiceNow configurations, customizations, and processes.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • U.S. Citizenship required; Must have the ability to obtain a DHS Entrance on Duty (EOD) clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree and 16 years' experience or Master's degree and 14 years' experience or HS diploma/equivalent and 20 years' experience.
  • Extensive experience with the ServiceNow platform, including configuration, customization, and administration.
  • Proficiency in ServiceNow scripting languages, such as JavaScript, Glide, and Jelly.
  • Strong understanding of ITIL processes and best practices.
  • Experience with ServiceNow integrations, APIs, and web services.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator.
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) in at least one module (e.g., ITSM, ITOM, ITBM).

Target Salary Range

$146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
