Job description

Location:

Remote, with ability to travel to an office: Parsippany, NJ/Raleigh, NC/King of Prussia, PA. 

Position Scope:

Identifies and analyzes possible mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic partnerships to develop recommendations and to project financial impact on the organization's portfolio and capabilities.

Plans, directs, and implements all aspects of the acquisition process and collaborates with business leaders to identify, develop and execute investment and development decisions that support organization growth strategies as well as contributing to effective integration plans.

Supports the senior members of the Corporate Development and Legal teams in the evaluation and execution of transactions

Responsibilities include:

  • Within this role you will Manage IQVIA M&A efforts through pipeline evaluation, modeling, valuation, due diligence, negotiation and closing activities.
  • Build and refine complex financial models for company valuation purposes.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analyses for a range of strategic and M&A initiatives.
  • Analyze and interpret financial statements and clearly convey conclusions and insights.
  • Perform market research, develop strategic initiatives and build business cases.
  • Work with IQVIA senior executives and colleagues, target company management teams and external advisors on a regular basis.
  • Oversee and maintain deal pipeline, track market M&A activity, prepare internal updates, and create deal review presentations for CFO, CEO and BOD.
  • Coordinate and lead due diligence efforts, including managing a global team of 50+ individuals.
  • Assist in closing activities.
  • Liaises with other departments and business units in an efficient, friendly and courteous manner. 

Education & Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3-5 years corporate development experience.
  • Professional that is familiar with M&A and finance, for example, investment banking analyst, a comparable corporate development role involving detailed knowledge of financial modelling and valuation.
  • Prior experience and understanding in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, and information industries is preferred.
  • This is an autonomous role requiring proactiveness and independent thinking; ability to handle multiple projects under pressure and focus on tactical execution of tasks.
  • Strategic problem-solving and decision making as well as strong analytical skills.
  • Superior written and verbal communication.
  • Software: Excel and PowerPoint.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $100,100.00 - $166,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
