The Associate Director, Clinical Decision Support Systems- Neurology will have key expertise in digital health transformation with particular attention on adoption of technologies and approaches that focus on addressing healthcare needs for neurological diseases. This person will report to the Senior Director, Clinical Decision Support Programs to identify opportunities that leverage viable digital health technologies that help practitioners, patients and payers make good health care decisions when dealing with neurological diseases. They are expected to maintain an in-depth understanding of clinical strategies related to neurological disease and THINC’s customer engagement capabilities in order to drive meaningful, seamless and consistent customer experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Identify barriers in clinical practice along the patient journey for neurological disease and map how the clinical decision support strategy can help overcome the barriers by creating an overarching business plan.
  • Design, execute, and monitor plans and tactics to help incorporate clinical decision support activities related to management of neurological diseases.
  • Work closely with Medical Affairs and Clinical Science to lead the clinical data generation design and management and thought leader interactions to facilitate the clinical decision support “pilot” projects for neurological diseases.
  • Evaluate, synthesize, and visualize clinical and economic data and develop written scientific communication, identify access-related medical issues and opportunities.
  • Responsible for implementing the clinical decision support strategy for neurological diseases aimed at transforming clinical care and patients’ outcomes and experience through digital dashboards. Drive towards achieving a better patient experience, improved health outcome, and reduced cost of care.
  • Co-create, with the Medical Affairs leads, touchpoint maps that strategically guide the integration of clinical decision support technologies for neurological diseases into the overall digital health experience. Identify effective digital measurements, data collection opportunities, and other insights that will ultimately contribute impactful, rigorous scientific information to positively change best medical practice discussions among key stakeholders.
  • Lead the drive to define clinical decision support metrics for retinal diseases, and to record and report benchmarks to promote internal understanding, cohesion, adoption, and scalability of clinical decision support pilots.

Education & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of relevant healthcare experience.
  • Advanced Degree associated with neurological diseases with a focus on AMD and Diabetic Retinopathy, preferred (Masters’ or higher in technology field, MBA, Pharm D, PhD or MD).
  • Medical Affairs or similar type experience in healthcare functions preferred.
  • Ability to influence and inspire individuals and teams across the organization, from front-line employees to the executive level.

  • Strong customer orientation and focus.
  • Adaptive thinking and a strong, critical mindset.

Base Pay:

Expected Base Pay Range: $150,000 to $165,000 Annualized

The base pay range included is a projected hiring range for a position, level and potential work location(s) listed.  Topcon provides the compensation range that it in good faith believes it might pay and/or offer for this position. This compensation range is based on a full-time schedule.   

Bonus eligible:

 In addition to base pay, compensation for this position includes eligibility for a 10% annual bonus.
