A configuration specialist is responsible for preparing computer applications, systems, and software for use. Your duties include assisting in the development of software, assisting in the setup of computer software, and organizing and conducting training on how to use the software. As a Configuration Specialist, you will be responsible for partnering with the Product Management, Engineering, and Client Success team while interacting with clients throughout the implementation process to ensure a successful client launch. Responsibilities
- Provide an engaging top-notch customer-focused experience to all customers
- Analyze, capture, document, and illustrate “as-is” and “to-be” business processes and requirements
- Prepare documentation such as functional/business requirements, as cases, and instructional documentation
- Configure, test, and implement business processes and requirements
- Provide onsite/online application training as needed
- Provide product demonstrations onsite/online to support project milestones as well as to support the sales team(s)
- Manage assigned project tasks in a timely manner and coordinate resources needed to complete tasks
- Provide weekly reports/updates of assigned tasks and progress to project manager/management
- Be prepared to play multiple roles in the implementation of a project
- Prospect clients and understand their needs
- Account ownership and customer satisfaction
Qualifications
- 2-3+ years of relevant experience. (Gov Tech nice to have)
- Customer-focused/engagement experience.
- Experience working with computer hardware and software.
- Excellent planning, analytical, communication, technical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong technical acumen and familiarity with productivity tools.
- Experience with software version control tools.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Quick learner with strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Product Suite; Word, Excel.
- Availability to travel up to 25% per year.
