What We're Looking For

Are you obsessed with well executed in person events? Do you love to organize and deliver next level in person experiences? Just Right Reader has the ideal job for you! We’re looking for an experienced Events Specialist to support our efforts in generating brand awareness and supporting lead generation through active participation in national education conferences. This role will require excellent communication skills to interact with diverse audiences and establish strong relationships with vendors and stakeholders. You will be responsible for executing event marketing strategies that drive leads, support sales efforts, and strengthen the company’s presence in the education market.

What You'll Do At Just Right Reader

  • Conference & Event Management: Attend and represent the company at education conferences and industry events across the U.S., ensuring high visibility and brand presence.
  • Lead Generation: Develop and execute event marketing strategies to generate qualified leads in support of sales goals, tracking event ROI and impact on pipeline development.
  • Collaborative Efforts: Work closely with sales, product, and content teams to align event marketing activities with overall company goals. Ensure feedback loops between marketing and sales to refine approaches.
  • Vendor & Stakeholder Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors, conference organizers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless event participation.
  • Brand Awareness: Support broader brand awareness strategies by coordinating marketing materials, booth setups, and communication efforts at each event.
  • Reporting & Analytics: Measure and report on the effectiveness of event marketing initiatives, providing insights to optimize future events and marketing efforts.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field is preferred.
  • 4+ years of experience in marketing, event marketing, or a related role.
  • Proven experience in lead generation and event execution, particularly in the education industry.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with diverse audiences, including educators, administrators, and industry professionals.
  • Experience collaborating with sales and product teams to ensure cohesive marketing efforts.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time to conferences and events across the country.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously.

Tools & Software You’ll Use

  • Marketing Automation: HubSpot, Marketo, or similar tools.
  • CRM: Hubspot or similar for tracking leads and event ROI.
  • Event management: Splash, CVent, or similar tools.
  • Project Management: Asana, Trello, or other tools for organizing event logistics.
  • Analytics: Google Analytics, event-specific tracking tools.
