Position Overview:
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic External Mentor to support our students in their learning journey. The mentor will work closely with our students and instructors, helping them grasp difficult concepts, guiding them on a personal level, and tracking their progress through assignment grading. This role requires strong communication skills, a passion for mentoring, and deep knowledge of data science tools and techniques.
Responsibilities:
-Doubt Sessions: Conduct regular doubt-clearing sessions to help students overcome challenges and clarify concepts related to topics like Power BI, Excel, SQL, Machine Learning, and Data Engineering.
-One-on-One Mentorship: Provide personalized mentorship to students by conducting one-on-one sessions. Motivate and guide them on an individual level, addressing their unique concerns and goals.
-Assignment Grading: Assess student assignments and provide constructive feedback. Track their progress and identify areas for improvement to ensure consistent learning outcomes.
-Skill Development: Encourage students to develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills by sharing industry insights and practical applications of data science concepts.
-Feedback & Improvement: Actively participate in program feedback sessions to help refine the course content and structure based on student needs and industry trends.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in Data Science, with expertise in tools such as Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Machine Learning. Knowledge of Data Engineering is a plus.
- Previous experience in mentoring, teaching, or conducting workshops is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to providing high-quality feedback and supporting student success.
