The Edenred Digital Center (EDC) in Bucharest, Romania is Edenred Group's new Digital hub for strategic IT projects.

OUR TEAM AND OUR TECHNICAL LANDSCAPE

eComponents is an mixt Product and Tech team, organized into four technically autonomous squads. Each squad includes a PO, a tech lead, developers, and a tester. Two architects and two Scrum Masters also complete the workforce with a cross-functional role.

We develop solutions for strong authentication and digitalization of payment methods. Our solutions are developed in C#/.Net and are hosted on the Azure cloud. Our source code, and our CI/CD pipelines are on AzureDevOps. We fully exploit the capabilities of the Cloud with the use of the latest solutions: Azure Kubernetes Services, Azure Container App, PostgreSQL, CosmosDB, Cache Redis.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AS ENGINEER MANAGER

• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers, fostering a collaborative and high performance culture.

• Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.

• Technical Guidance: Provide technical direction and support to the engineering team, ensuring best practices in software development and system design.

• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Design, and Operations, to define and deliver high-quality products.

• Team organization: Manage teams effectively, balancing workloads and prioritizing tasks to meet project deadlines.

• Performance Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, set objectives, and provide continuous feedback to team members.

• Process Improvement: Identify areas for improvement in the development process and implement changes to enhance efficiency and productivity.

• Recruitment: Participate in the hiring process to attract and retain top engineering talent.

• Innovation: Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, and drive initiatives to incorporate new technologies and methodologies.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Education

» Software Engineering or Any Related Engineering Degree Skillset 2

Skillset

» Extensive experience in cross-functional development and technical leadership in large scale products.

» Over 5 years of development experience (an early experience on payment and/or security mechanism is highly desirable).

» Experience in growing a development team from early stages.

» Experience working within a product-led company that places value on coaching and servant leadership.

» A goal-oriented person, preferably with experience in working with, and driving OKRs (or other management frameworks).

» A critical thinker who can break complex problems into their simplest components.

» An excellent communicator with infectious energy, and a flare for motivating others.

» Previous experience working in cross-functional teams that balance product and engineering needs.
